Our Mission Statement
Krio Descendants Union (KDU), California, a chapter of KDU Global, was reestablished in 2024. Its Mission shall be the preservation and dissemination of Krio history, language and culture, while simultaneously providing humanitarian assistance, through charitable giving, to Krios, their descendants, and friends, in ways to be determined by its members based on fairness and social, economic, cultural, health, and educational needs of the recipients.
Our Vision Statement
The Vision of KDU California is to extol the virtues of Krio language, traditions, and culture through sharing its rich history, nurturing its identity, and planning and implementing activities and events that would aid in the preservation of Krio in all its variegated forms. At the same time, KDU California would endeavor to promote and encourage unity amongst its members and members of other chapters within this global organization.
